Terms of Service

The terms

Last updated: 10 October 2026

1. Who we are

WayFix ("the service", "we") is operated by Vapor Trail Simulations LLC, 68 Harrison Ave Ste 605, PMB 999873, Boston, Massachusetts 02111-1929, United States. Contact: support@vaportrailops.com.

2. What the service is

WayFix turns flights flown in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 into airline operations: you found a virtual airline, claim contracts, plan and fly flights, and the service verifies the flight from data the desktop client reads from your simulator, scores it and pays your virtual airline in virtual money. Everything in the service — airlines, aircraft, money, levels, badges — is fictional and has no value outside it.

The service has three parts: the web app (app.wayfix.io), the desktop client you install on the PC running the simulator, and this site.

3. Your account

4. Fair play

The service scores flights from telemetry the desktop client sends. You agree not to:

We may score, void or re-settle a flight, remove content, and warn, suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. A suspended account is told the reason at sign-in and may appeal to support@vaportrailops.com.

5. Your content

You keep the rights to what you upload (for example an aircraft picture). You grant us the license needed to store, resize and show it inside the service to you and, where you share it (for example a flight report card), to whoever you share it with. Flight report cards you download are yours to share.

6. The desktop client

The desktop client is licensed to you, not sold, for use with your own copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator on computers you control. It reads flight data from the simulator through SimConnect and sends it to the service while you are tracking a flight; it plays cabin announcements; it may, on stock aircraft and only when you have opted into such events, send the simulator a command (for example an engine failure in a boss flight). You may not reverse engineer it except where the law allows regardless of this clause. Updates may be required to keep working with the service.

7. Third-party services and trademarks

Microsoft Flight Simulator is a product of Microsoft Corporation; the service is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Microsoft, Asobo Studio, Navigraph / SimBrief, BeyondATC, VATSIM, Fenix Simulations, PMDG, FlyByWire Simulations, iniBuilds, or any airline or aircraft manufacturer. Airline and aircraft names appear only to describe the flight you flew. Flight plans imported from SimBrief are subject to SimBrief's terms and are fetched only at your request.

8. Plans, payment and refunds

Trial. Every new account starts on a free trial: three completed flights or 14 days, whichever comes first. No card is asked for.

Plans. After the trial the service needs a paid plan to fly: Monthly at $6.99 a month, Annual at $59.99 a year, or Founding Pilot — the Annual plan at $39.99 for the first year, offered to the first hundred paid accounts, renewing at the annual price, with a permanent Founding Flight Crew badge. Prices are in US dollars and include tax where it applies; the exact amount is shown before you pay. Every plan includes everything in the service: there are no feature tiers. Complimentary plans we grant may be withdrawn at our discretion.

Merchant of record. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms. We never see or store your card details.

Renewal and cancellation. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price in force for that plan, until you cancel. Cancel at any time from Subscription → Manage billing (or through Paddle): the plan stays open until the end of the period you have paid for, and nothing further is charged. If a renewal payment fails, Paddle retries your card for a while, during which the plan keeps working; if it cannot be collected, the subscription ends.

A lapsed account keeps everything. When a subscription ends, or a trial ends without one, the account stays: you can sign in and see your airline, log book, finances and profile, but you cannot dispatch, start tracking, claim contracts or fly boss and weather flights until you subscribe again, at which point you carry on exactly where you left off. Nothing is ever removed for non-payment; only deleting the account (Section 9) removes data.

Price changes. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; a change applies from the first renewal after the notice period, and you may cancel before then.

Refunds. A first payment is refunded in full on request within 14 days; renewals within 14 days if no tracked flight was completed in the new period. The full rules are in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Availability, changes, ending

The service is provided as it is, without a promise of availability; it may be interrupted for maintenance or fail. We may change or discontinue features. You may delete your account at any time under Settings → Account (seven-day grace period, then everything is removed). When the account is removed, any subscription is canceled at that moment; the rest of a paid period is not refunded except under the Refund Policy, and a renewal that falls inside the grace period is charged as usual. To avoid that, cancel the subscription under Subscription → Manage billing first. We may close accounts that break these terms or that have been unused for 24 months, with notice by email where the law requires it. Lapsing for non-payment is not "unused": a lapsed account is kept as Section 8 says.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of virtual assets, or for anything the simulator or a third-party add-on does; where liability cannot be excluded it is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States; disputes go to the state or federal courts sitting in Boston, Massachusetts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection where you live.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email and in the app at least 14 days before they take effect; continuing to use the service after that is acceptance. The current version is always at wayfix.io/terms. See also the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy.
